Kelly Brazell’s Story

Two Sundays age we were able to celebrate the baptisms of some RHF family members. This is Kelly’s story:

Growing up, my mom was always interested in getting connected with a church. My mom is a postmodern pantheist who believes that all religions are just ways to connect with God, and that there is no one true religion that leads to Heaven. She believes very much in being a good person and doing good on this earth so that you won’t have to repeat your mistakes in another life. She visits psychics who try and predict her life, but then tells me to trust God with His plans. Why can’t she do that for herself? She believes that Jesus was a good teacher, but that the Bible was written by men who used it to further their agendas. Read More

For two years we have meandered and wandered through north Orange
County, looking for a stationary place where we could love on the city
of Fullerton from. We started as a dream on a piece of paper – it was
just a blank page – nothing had been imagined, the paper was pristine
and unmarked.

The blank page was soon filled with vision and dreams.

The vision was powerful and strong – may it be in Fullerton as it is in heaven.

Ideals and values were all we had.

Fullerton Stories: Divine Appointments

About a month prior to Thanksgiving, as part of the Multiply life group curriculum, we began to talk about about discipleship and evangelism. During that time, my friend Patrick started thinking about ways he could live out this call to evangelism, and one very particular opportunity came to mind; his flight to and from home for Thanksgiving break. Fullerton Stories: Monday Mornings

During the summer of 2010, my friend and missional community co-leader Eric Scofield sensed God putting it upon his heart to make coffee and to bring donuts to reach out and to love on the homeless.  Around the same time, God had been speaking to me separately and placing scriptures from James and Isaiah 58 upon my heart to reach out to the homeless, the hungry, the poor and the unloved.
